  okay so this is for an assignment - due in at midnight tomorrow.

  its a tiny part of it but the accuracy is paramount and i can't get my head around it and so if anyone can help with the math i'd be very grateful.. .

  i want to show what percentage higher the gni of the uk is above france.

  Yeah I think it's the first time I've seen a driver leading the championship without actually having won a race. You keep betting on hamilton getting podiums and I'll keep betting on Webber finishing nowhere near the podium.
  
  Oh and the second sum is the same as the first one, difference of the two divided by the lower which works out as you said in your last post, US 138.64% more than Russia's.

  Hi Crumpet,
  
  It's the difference divided by the lower figure. So the final result should be that the UK GNI is 10.73% higher than France's.
  
  BTW Glad to see your boy Hamilton doing well in the F1. Shame about our Webber though!

  Personally I believe in having very strict gun control in any country, but with 200 million guns (probable more) floating around in the USA I'm beginning to believe it's probably too late for strict gun controls in the US.
  
  And as a side point, if I lived in the US I think I'd want a gun too.

  Interestingly, we recently had an anti littering campaign run by our government.
  
  The slogan used in the campaign was "Don't be a tosser."
  
  I was quite shocked when i first heard/saw it. Not because I'm easily offended, but because i could imagine kids everywhere asking, "Mummy, what's a tosser?"

  I've always wondered about this too. I know that when I have children someday, I'm going to want to have as much involvement in their lives as possible. So if we are the offspring of some higher being, where is he? It doesn't seem right that we would be left all alone like we have been.
